Question 1

Is SBBPOS free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can sign up and start using the core POS with no credit card required. You pay only when you add modules beyond the basics.

Question 2

How long does setup take?

Accepted Answer

Most users are up and running within minutes. There is no installation, no IT team needed — just sign up and open a browser.

Question 3

What hardware do I need?

Accepted Answer

Any device with a modern browser — a tablet, laptop, or desktop. For card payments we support Stripe Terminal. For receipts we support Star Micronics printers and local browser printing.

Question 4

Does SBBPOS work offline?

Accepted Answer

Partially. If your internet drops mid-sale, cash and manual payment methods continue to work and orders are queued locally. Once you're back online they sync automatically. Stripe card payments require an active connection.

Question 5

Can I use SBBPOS across multiple stores?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SBBPOS is built for multi-location retail from the ground up. Each store runs as its own Business Unit under one account — same login, same reporting.

Question 6

Is SBBPOS suitable for Swedish retail?

Accepted Answer

Yes — SBBPOS is built specifically for the EU market. It handles Swedish VAT rates, Swish payments, PSD2-compliant card receipts, and GDPR-correct data handling out of the box.

Question 7

How does the modular pricing work?

Accepted Answer

You start with the Basic App License and add only the modules your business actually needs — cash handling, promotions, discounts, Stripe card payments, receipt printing and more. Each module is priced separately. No bundles, no forced upgrades.

Question 8

Who is behind SBBPOS?

Accepted Answer

A small Swedish team with hands-on retail and IT experience. We have worked the shop floor and built the software — so we understand both sides of the problem.

Question 9

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Your data is stored in a GDPR-compliant cloud infrastructure. Each account is fully isolated — your data is never shared with or visible to other businesses on the platform.
